Experience and Expertise

Charles E. King served as a Detective/Patrolman after his nine months of training at the Liberian Police Academy. After years of service working on various assignments, and upon his return from obtaining his academic degrees in Criminal Justice Administration, he returned to Liberia and was appointed Assistant Director of Police for Administration. It was during his administration and persistent call for salary increase that the salary of the police officers were increased.

After his assignments in various police and security services positions in Liberia, he left the service as Deputy Director of Police/ CID Liberian National Police. While at the CID, it as during his administration that he introduced the "Prosecutive Summary" method of case preparation to his CID Detectives.

He initiated every week a "coffee break with the Director". There, issues would be discussed in general - agents would discuss the issues we were faced with as a department while at the same time, members from the legal profession were invited to discuss the Rule of Law and the Police Officer. This was the first of it's kind and further did much for the detectives to better appreciate the Law. His training at the FBI National Academy, gives him credibility. A pioneer in his own right in the field of innovative ideas, provides him unequaled credentials to address audiences on essential topics concerning leadership, change, and stress. His presentations of workforce development concepts are considered among the best in Virginia.

Now is a good time! Mr. King has presentations booked far into the future. However, that does not mean your date is not available. Give us your date,

and we will confirm availability. Sooner is always better than later as, once you decide, the date you wanted may be obligated.

Mr. King has never presented the exact same material twice. While some of the presentations are formatted to ensure the proper information is included, they are each created especially for the client. Clients are also encouraged to confer with Mr. King, via email, conference call or other method, to specify issues that they want to be addressed.

What is Mr. King's Fee Schedule?

Our goal is to serve our clients, not see how much money we can make. Any conversations regarding budget or other speaker-related matters are always welcomed. When you consider that Mr. King brings over thirty years of experience to the presentation, uses his spellbinding experiences to make his points, and regularly ends with standing ovations, you will be convinced that his fees are more than fair. His presentations are truly about passion, about self empowerment not pension!

Mr. King asks for 50% of the speaker fee upon confirmation (refundable in the unlikely case that he cannot fulfill the obligation. The remainder of the speaker fee is due at the venue prior to the presentation. We understand the constraints placed upon some entities, so these are handled [prior with our booking representatives. We try by all means to work with you.

Who Makes His Travel and Lodging Arrangements?

Because Mr. King rarely knows where he will be prior to your event, your event planners normally makes all bookings and travel arrangements, jupon consultation with Mr. King or his booking representatives. For the time being however, Mr. King is only scheduled around the Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland area.

What are the audio-visual requirements?

Nothing special. Simply provide a computer with PowerPoint™ capabilities and sound that allows the playing of embedded video clips; a projector and screen for the PowerPoint; a wireless lapel microphone or headset (if necessary); and a podium or small table for notes, etc.

Are handouts available for the participants?

Yes. Upon reasonable requests, and in most cases, handouts can be provided for your use in notebooks, folders, etc

Does Mr. King bring any of his books, cd's or items for sale?

He will bring whatever you request of him (subject to availability and applicable) and sell them to your audience at a discounted price. Cash, personal checks, and credit cards are accepted.

Who are the contact persons for Mr. King?

The booking representatives are Ms. Anna Cooper Joyner and Ms, Keisha J.A Hamilton. They are both administrators for record keeping and general operations. Mr. King will speak with you directly when certain preliminary formalities have been completed, to make certain that none of the clients requirements are lost during all the processes.

Is there a contract or agreement to sign?

In most cases, a simple confirmation email stating your agreement with the fee, topic, time, date, etc. is sufficient for us. We do not require contracts in the normal course of business. We will, however, welcome your contract, although a simple Memorandum of Understanding outlining what is to be expected will suffice.

Due to the corporate and organizational culture of our company, and our legal requirements, does Mr. King comply with appropiate behavioral policies and guidelines?

Definitely!
