*Charles was invited to be the guest speaker over lunch at the Virginia WIA Statewide Program Fall 2012 Meeting, held at he Cavalier Hotel in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Charles spoke to over 350 participants of Workforce Development Professionals from Virginia. The topic 'Job Seeking Strategies for the 21st Century' was chosen by Charles and approved by their committee.
Charles was a success and some of the participants lined up to thank him for the presentation. Throughout the program, he was still being congratulated and several engaged him in discussions about his presentation.
The message that Charles had delivered was well received. Normally when a speaker delivers over lunch it is difficult, but during his presentation, the room went actually quiet until he completed his presentation. A few participants were actually seen taken notes at their table!
On of he workforce development services staff remarked
" I found your speech so refreshing and inspiring. Amidst all the negative reports on unemployment, it was good to hear a postive forward thinking message".
Charles presentation was fresh and different and presented much food for thought (excuse the pun).
* Charles spoke at the Concerned Citizens Network of Alexandria. He was asked to speak to parents and students about their responsibility to one another as they move towards their goal. It was a resounding success. One of the organizers said of Mr. King - 'he wears his message well".
